WHAT IS IT

MINDFULNESS PRACTISE

…teaches how to be in the present moment with your thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensations and everything around you, using simple tools and practices. Mindfulness helps us put some space between ourselves and our reactions, allowing for calm responses and better decisions.

Little Crystal Minds provides a relaxed, compassionate, non-judgemental, supportive service. You will learn that there is a connection between your breathing and your mental state and how you breathe affects how you feel. Also, I’ll show you how to focus your attention and turn down the noise in your head. Learning to quieten your mind is the most liberating thing you can do. Mindfulness tools can be learned at any age and can make a vast improvement to your overall well-being.

At Little Crystal Minds, along with the basics, our approach is holistic combining modern mindfulness techniques which works for busy people with little time. For the younger ones we include creative children’s yoga and story massage to make their experiences fun and engaging.

 CHILDREN’S GROUP WORKSHOP:
Mindfulness in Schools

Schools are under enormous pressure to ensure academic success, which can often put pressure on our children and make them feel stressed, very anxious and frustrated. Children of all ages are unable to perform and learn whilst feeling this way. When negative emotions, feelings and thoughts take them over, it results in a panic-like state, bringing down their confidence, self-esteem and ability to learn or remember what they already know which then can cause anxiety. We want the best for our children academically but also emotionally and mentally. Our sessions and workshops provide children with tools and techniques that can help and support children with stress management, emotional resilience and self-belief. By learning mindfulness technique children…

[

… are able to focus and concentrate better.

[

… feel calmer, more confident within themselves.

[

… have an increase in self-esteem and emotional well-being.

[

… learn to manage, even overcome, anxiety.

[

… tend to sleep better – helping the recharge for the next day.

90 minutes Workshop

Once upon a time I was
calm, relaxed, compassionate, positive and patient;
I prided myself on these qualities. Then (gulp) life happened.

About me, my Values and Beliefs

[

Early Years

Once upon a time I was calm, relaxed, compassionate, positive and patient, I prided myself on these qualities.
[

Let's have a Cuppa

I wasn’t one who had a skill or talent for very much, except making a great (actually amazing) cup of tea, one that gives you hugs and smiles when you drink it and I am pretty good at reverse parking even if I do say so myself.
[

Family Time

I’m a people person and worked in events with great teams during my corporate years, which served me well at the time. What I really wanted though like everyone else was to find love and have a family, this all happened in my thirties and life changed and I knew my happy-go-lucky nature would serve me well bringing up children.
Well (gulp) that’s what I believed, nothing and I mean nothing really prepares you for being a parent. All those qualities I said I prided myself on just disappeared – poof gone! Who knows were to…

[

Emotional Stress

I became someone else who was overwhelmed, frustrated, guilt ridden, tired and angry, full of big emotions I had no idea how to handle, I had no idea who I was for a while. I have realised my younger self was always very mindful without realising it, and bringing mindfulness practices into my day to day life has helped me find ME again and an even better version to tell you the truth.

[

Meeting my Self ...

I have been able to learn about the full version of who I am and not just the good qualities but how to deal with the difficult emotions and work with them rather than hide or disguise them. Since finding ME again, I am more compassionate and kinder to myself and those around me. This helped me find my passion, the things that move me, areas I want to make a difference in. Teaching mindfulness and help change the emotional and mental mindset for the next generation, starting with families and our children right here right now is my passion.
[

... and be my new Self

I am now learning, listening, loving, laughing, leading and living in the moment as often as possible.

My Approach & Training

PAUSE – BREATHE – CONNECT – FEEL CALM

I understand only too well how hectic life gets and finding even 10 minutes in our day can be a task in itself. Being a mum, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend and a business woman, I have realised over the years that no one size fits all and my approach to teaching mindfulness is tailored to my client’s needs and goals. My main aim of any session is to be supportive of you as an individual while in life you invest energy and support for others.

Mindfulness exercises are ways of paying attention to the present moment, exploring our thoughts, feeling and behaviour, meditation quiets your mind, reduces stress and brings you clarity and a positive mindset. For children we also bring in fun, creative elements with yoga to increase body awareness, confidence and concentration. Story massage is a relaxing way to connect, using songs and stories. Which each session will increase your overall well being where you start to pause, breath, connect and feel calm.

TESTIMONIALs

I cannot recommend ‘Mindfulness for Mother’s’ and of course, the lovely Priya highly enough! This course has been absolutely life changing for me; I’ve uncovered so many emotions that I did not even know existed in me! Mindfulness may not be a miraculous cure of motherhood woes, but with the understanding and acceptance of our emotions, as well as that of our children, it puts everything into a different light which makes the end of the tunnel look much brighter! It’s an ongoing practice, a way of life and despite still having bad days (who doesn’t?!) I am much calmer and in tune with myself. I cannot thank you enough Priya, you’re amazing! Zeynep Ilerde

Priya helped our very sensitive and spirited 7 year old go through a very tough time. She had trouble sleeping, she was anxious and overwhelmed. Priya came and did a few sessions with her which she loved and really looked forward to as she found them so enjoyable. They really helped her focus on her breathing and she has started to learn how to relax, which is a miracle for her. My 4 year old joined in for the last yoga practice bit, she still talks about it! They both asked when is Priya coming again, we will definitely be back for more. Thank you Priya for your care and dedication, it really is unique.

The course was a real eye opener. The information, advice & tips were easy to incorporate into a busy day! I feel more connected with my daughter & understand her so much more. Stressful situations don’t seem to take over my mind like before the course as it could affect my mood for the whole day/ week sometimes! The techniques have really helped me manage anxiety & stress! Every parent/ child should attend one of Priya’s courses and incorporate mindfulness into their lives. I loved the WhatsApp messages which made me check in with myself & gave me extra support throughout as well as after the course. Thank you for everything Priya you are truly inspiring and a passionate teacher at what you do. Many thanks! Joanna Lowther

I am so happy to have attended the Mindfulness for Mothers course last month, it has completely changed my view on parenting, how I relate to my children and deal with typical daily stress from being a mother. The course is very well organised and presented, and Priya provides with many resources and tools. Priya is very approachable, thoughtful and caring and checks up on you throughout the course, even in between sessions. I missed one of the sessions but she invited me to come earlier on the next one so she could give me an overview on the session I missed. I couldn’t recommend this more. If you want to understand your child better and learn how to handle emotions in the family, this is the course for you!

Mariona Jornet

I just finished the Mindfulness for Mothers course and it is truly amazing. It has made a massive difference in the way I deal with my child emotions (and mine) and made our family so much happier. The course is very very resourceful: it combines knowledge and practical tools that really helps on every level. The resources are accessible at any time and Priya has been always happy to answer any question, even between session. Thank you so much Priya for being so generous, passionate and caring. A life changing experience I definitely recommend! Géraldin

These cards are amazing! We are all using them and love them. They have made a big difference in the way we handle difficult situations and generally how we are each day. Thankyou so much for creating these. Will be recommending to all my family and friends. Amina Vaze

These are beautiful cards. Good quality paper and print and designed to get communications flowing. We pick one randomly every morning and spend the day living the affirmation and fulfill the suggested task. Over dinner we speak about how we got on, how it made us feel. The whole concept is amazingly simple but has a profound effect on us as individuals as well as a family unit. We are becoming more self-aware without realising, more aware of our surroundings and the feelings of others. These cards should be in every educational setting and home. Even leaving them randomly on the underground will change someones life. Oh, and the added activity of colouring in on the back adds more value to this product. Love love love them.
